That's one of my middle schools, Mildred Osbourne, in New Orleans East. That's where I learned how to fight hard and run fast, being one of maybe ten white kids out of 900 students. It was walking distance to Lake Pontchartrain, which now covers the playgrounds I used to fight and run and play and cry on.
