With all the documentation and stories of people you have written about, you should team up with a film team and create a documentary. This needs to be put into the mainstream so people know the truth about what is going on and not get smoke blown up our asses by the TV media. People keep telling me there is more good going on than bad, but I think they are just so out of touch with what is really going on. If only they knew the real truth about what these people are going through, maybe they could make difference and actually help instead of blindly trusting our politicians and the media that supports such lies and tries to sugar coat the damage.
FEMA is a joke. Our governments response and it's responsibility as a nation to help is a joke. The people of New Orleans, surrounding Mississippi and Texas areas affected, they are the ones taking up this burden and going it alone...
We are going out today and buying some more supplies to ship down to all of you. I hope they get to the people who need it. I will not donate to the Red Cross any more because they have done nothing to help where it is needed and the like FEMA, where does the money go?
My wife and I mailed out two large boxes of supplies today. Towels,wash clothes, soap, sanitizer and feminine needs.
They should make it down there by the middle of next week...I hope.
We will try to send something each pay period for the next few weeks...Let us know if they move out of the school or if they need still need anything specific that they havent gotten yet.
A good book may put you to sleep but Mama's cornbread will make you cry. You have documented the People, Places and things in an incredible fashion. Your photography and documention has touched the root of all that jogs the human to mind comprehend what a disaster such as these Hurricanes have done to the heart and soul of those that have survived.The best interpretation of the loss and suffering that so many have endured that I have ever read. Thanks for the words of wisdom, the encouragement and the best Cornbread this side of the Appalachins. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to more. PS: I also enjoyed your portfolio, it was good to see that the big city didn't take the country out of you . May a higher power be with you, your family and all the people that were affected by this terrible disaster.

There is a hot debate going on in my corner of the world, about wether or not people were told to evacuate. I figured you all would know. Sometimes the media is so biased ~
